The Catholic Newman Center’s active ministries quickly outgrew the beautiful original building.  In an attempt to be create more space on their lot in the densely populated Greek Row of the University of Washington, there was no choice but to carefully infill to capture available space. The design creates new meeting areas, break-out rooms, and features natural light for the large study. The original building was respectfully expanded to enlarge the narthex, and create a very visible meeting space adjacent to the lovely plaza.
