Project Description: Kiddie Academy purchased an old CVS Pharmacy in Seattle to be converted into one of their childcare facilities. The primary scope included a change of use and full interior renovation, but careful consideration was needed to convert the existing merchandise storage mezzanine. Structural upgrades were necessary to support the proposed program to include the daycare’s kitchen, staff workroom, staff lounge, and stem classroom and the existing staircase was replaced to meet current codes. Additionally, the building required an addition into the existing loading dock for a new elevator to address accessibility to the mezzanine.
